Unexpected Encounter
While Ava was dragging Vanessa out of the class to meet MiG so they could talk to each other, they both came across MiG’s classmate. Ava asked them where MiG would be, as it was a free lecture and most of the students were in different locations around the college, having lunch with their friends.
Ava was told that MiG was not present today. She asked the classmate if they knew why MiG was absent. Ava was informed that MiG had some work to finish, so he took leave from college.
Vanessa sighed with relief that she would not have to confront MiG for the time being. On the other hand, Ava was curious and wanted to know if the reason for MiG’s absence was related to the notebook Vanessa had with her.
Regardless of Ava’s curiosity, there was nothing she could do, so she just had to wait for MiG to come to college. Only then would she be able to know if the reason for MiG’s absence was the diary or something else.
Ava and Vanessa returned to their class for the next lectures. After some time, college was over. Everyone was on their way now; some were going with their friends to movies and malls, others were going to the library to study, and some went to their favorite places to relax.
Ava went to her house to rest up as Vanessa didn’t want to go anywhere to chill. Both of them always went together to any place they wanted to visit. If one didn’t want to go, the other would also not go.
While Vanessa was on her way home, she came across MiG at a grocery store. Vanessa also wanted to know why MiG didn’t come to college today, as he doesn’t usually skip lectures. MiG was putting the stuff he wanted in his basket when Vanessa got behind him. As Vanessa was about to say something, MiG turned around and was startled as if he had seen some kind of alien.
Vanessa also got startled and said, “You startled me,” keeping her hand on her chest to calm herself. MiG thought to himself, ‘What the hell did I do? You were the one standing behind me like an assassin‘ and then said, “How can I help you, Miss? Were you looking for me?”
Vanessa, coming back to reality, got flustered and thought about what to say. Then she said, “Wh… why didn’t you come to college today?”
MiG, getting confused and not knowing what was going on, said, “Getting backpacks ready for a trip.” Seeing Vanessa lost in her thoughts, he added, “Is it that you too want to tag along?”
Vanessa replied, “It would be great if I could, but I can’t. You know we have exams coming up, and I have to study a lot. I am not a genius like you.”
MiG, a little confused and annoyed, said, “Where did that come from? I am no genius. Me, MiG, is just a normal person who has a love just for tech.”
