Sunset Reflections
As the bustling day came to an end, MiG and Vanessa found themselves returning home from college, each carrying the weight of their own experiences from the day.
MiG walked out of the college gates, the echoes of his solitary classroom ordeal still lingering in his mind. The unfamiliarity of being the lone male amidst a sea of female classmates had left him feeling out of place, a subtle reminder of the challenges of college life.
Meanwhile, Vanessa arrived at her home, a sense of anticipation bubbling within her as she settled into her room. With the notebook in hand, she was eager to resume her exploration of its secrets during the upcoming week-long break from college.
Seated at her desk near the window, Vanessa gazed out at the setting sun casting a warm glow over the tranquil evening sky. The gentle breeze wafting through the window carried with it a sense of serenity, setting the perfect atmosphere for her reading.
With a sense of excitement, Vanessa opened the notebook and began to read from where she left off last time. The author’s words spoke of their humble beginnings, born on a full moon day and raised in a courtyard shelter with other neighborhood children.
The Notebook:
Heyoo! I hope you are doing fine. On the last page, I gave my little intro, kind of, so let me begin my story from the start. From the start, I mean from my childhood (from where I remember things so maybe some things will be there that I will miss).
So, I was born on a full moon day, yeah, day, in the early morning, and by early morning, I mean that time was in the AM. When I grew a little, I was sent to the courtyard shelter, where I went with some other kids from my neighborhood. After some time, we had to shift to another city where my Granny and Grandpa lived.
Vanessa felt a pang of empathy as she read about the author’s childhood experiences, each word painting a vivid picture of their journey. The mention of shifting to another city where their maternal grandparents lived sparked her curiosity, igniting a desire to uncover more about the author’s life.
The author’s narrative drew Vanessa in, transporting her to a world filled with memories and emotions. From the innocence of childhood to the complexities of growing up, she found herself captivated by the author’s story, eagerly devouring each new detail.
With each turn of the page, Vanessa felt a growing connection to the author. As the night wore on and the stars began to twinkle in the sky, she continued to immerse herself in the pages of the notebook, eager to uncover the secrets that lay within.
